![]() So you can do some RPGing on just about any platform. Not every Ultima game, but three great ones. Ultima 4 and 6 are also supported and playable. I know DOSBox (Pure, especially) is a good alternative for some of these games, but some are modern Windows games so that isn't always an option either. You can play Myst in ScumVM Riven, too Beavis and Butt-Head - Virtual Stupidity. I use the regular standalone version on all platforms where it is available, but on some there is no option but RetroArch, hence why I would love to have better ScummVM support. ![]() Please note I'm not trying to say "you must update this core!" or be demanding/rude, I am just wanting to get an idea of how realistic it is to hope for updates. ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical adventure and role-playing games, provided you already have their data files. I was just wondering how often it gets updated and how well maintained the core is? Several RA cores seem to get very regular updates, so I am assuming different people/groups are responsible for different cores. there seems to be no way to may specific keys to a controller, only a pre-chosen few. ![]() The biggest issue IMO is the lack of proper keyboard mapping for controllers (i.e. Apologies if this is common knowledge, but the ScummVM core is fairly outdated, resulting in many games not being supported as they are in the regular version of ScummVM, not to mention (if I recall, last I used it) missing an onscreen keyboard.
